Final Evaluation

Proof Read Evaluation

Production Meeting Reflection 4

This was the last week and it was time to put all the practice in use, as it was live day this week. So we started the final week by adding final touches to the master script as a group the we managed to finish that, this left us two lessons to set up the camera's in the position the set designer planned the staged. We had to make sure it that are camera angles were the best and as a camera operator we had to use our imitative. There was no problems setting the camera's up as we know from previous practice where which wire went, and also we were very lucky that all wires were working, this meant no wires needing to be replacement, this meant us having more time to practice with the actual camera.

I thought that all the camera operator worked fairly well and all of us participated and set our own camera's. I thought on the live day we worked very well as we did not have a problem communicating on the live day, however we first were a bit confused which camera will be recording the live performance but after speaking to the director as the camera operators we made a group decision which camera will record the live performance.

Next week we are going to be done with live day and hopefully we will be doing the evaluation, this is where we talk about the show, how successful it was or what the drawback were and also we talk about how we did in hour job role.

Production Meeting Reflection 3

This week was filled with excitement because we were going to set the studio camera's and then experiment what kind of movement will need to do and what shots we can do. This week we sited the rough studio, me and my team had to sit all the equipment up, however we did need help to set the equipment up because it was our first time, this meant our teaching telling us where the wires got connected so you could see the camera shot in the gallery.

The response i got from my production team was that they thought that we had needed to take more shots as our team only thought that there would only be one stage which meant us not knowing about the other two studio's. This is why we have fallen slightly behind, however we have learnt to make sure that you work closely with your team members as you need to be aware of the setting, this is why we have asked the floor manager to give us a copy of the floor plan so we know where the camera's would go.

As a team this week we have worked well, however due to the little issue we have slight fallen behind, we have had some conflict in the group but have overcome them by moving on and not making a bigger issue than it was.

Next week we will be giving our input in the master script and also i want to experiment more in the studio as i want to be 100% on what we will be doing in the studio and also i want to the floor manager and the set designer to explain where specific action will take place. Also i want to know how to set some of the equipment up as i am not to confident.

Production Meeting Reflection-2

This week was the first week in pre-production, during pre-production all the camera operators work together and complete the necessary tasks, me and the other 2 camera operators started off by actually setting some of the studio equipment up, as we wanted to know what some of the hazards would be in the studio as we wouldn't to know what would also effect the production, after knowing the hazards all the camera operators had to fill a risk assessment sheet, which listed the hazards and we had to mention how we would control it, unfortunately this week i could not attend the production meeting as i was not to well, however i will be making sure i go next week as i need to get response on the work i do from the whole crew.

This week i managed to do all the tasks which i was aimed and i believe my time management was excellent as i did finish on time and also i learnt how to set some of the equipment, this help me as i know how to roughly use the equipment. Next week me and my team will be going into the studio and making sure the camera is in different shots, this will help me and my team know what shots will be the best, after doing this we need to upload it and talk about the specific shots.

This week i worked with my group for one day as on the first day me and my group learned what were the hazards to the camera as me and my team were not to sure what the hazards, i believe my team were very good and we worked well together as a team as we communicated well and we manage to set all the equipment up without in problem, however we did need a bit of guidance as we never used the camera which were going to use this time. This is why everyone was a bit slow as we weren't sure where things went, however i think that once we are shown how to sit it up we were more confident and done it faster and efficiently.

Production meeting research

This was the first production meeting of many to come, during this production meeting we had to pitch our vision of the programme to our class who were eventually going to vote for the pitch they thought that was the best, everyone had to make sure that they pictured their idea clearly so that our idea would be chosen. In the meeting we all have around 5 minutes to pitch the idea of out show which we planned, then at the end we were in charge of voting for the idea which we thought would be the best.

The name of my show was 'listen up' i thought that was very unique and it appealed to my target audeince and also in my show i did have concert and game element in the show. Also for my pre recorded element i came up with a segment called 'life of a celebrity' this is where the presenter would go to live in the lifestyle of the artist. The response from my class mates was that they like my pre-recorded content and they thought it will catch the interest of the audience. However from the response i think they thought that my show needed a something more unique in the show.

i voted for a show called 'Hear-dat' as i thought it was very unique and it also appealed to the 14-16 years old because of the word 'dat' which is a slang term used by the young audience, this will make them watch the programme as the titles appeals to them. Also i like the fact that he had a imitation activity in the show, this is when the guest will try imitate someone famous and the audience at home will choose who will imitate them. This is a very unique show as i have not seen shows which actually do that, this is why i thought has a lot of interaction with the audience. I thought they could develop their idea by making sure that they had more pre-recorded element in there as i will recommend them to have the pre-recorded element i had in my show as it will keep the audience interested as it is different and the young audience want to see the lifestyle of the artist/celebrity.

Multi Camera Pitch Treatment

Programme Format

The programme format for my show is a magazine show as i will be having different type's of content on their. By this i mean that the my magazine show will deal with different aspects, as the will be interviewing pop stars who have released single, i will also have different elements like concerts as there will be a lounge near a stage where they will be interviewing the pop star about they experience. Also the presenters/host will also make them play a game while on the show, this is where i will introduce the game called 'have you ever'

Game show element

This is where the presenters will introduce a game called ' Have You Ever'. There will be 5min to conduct this game. The presenter will have a raffle box which has the guests name in it then the presenters at random will choose a paper which has someones name on it then they must ask them a question starting with have you ever, also the audience suggest it from the twitter comments.

Concert element

On the show there will be a concert element as will see the actor perform live on the stage this is similar to the radio show which features live lounge, as my show will be a bit different because there would be a interview setting beside the lounge where the presenters will be asking questions, also at the side there will be a setting like the one show

Title of show

The name of the show i want to make is called ' Listen up' because i thought it was very unique and different to other magazine show and also i wanted to create a show which will attract my target audience as that is my aim to involve as much of my audience as i can. The title of the show is important as that's the name which you will build so that their is awareness from the audience about the show. Another title for the show i had in mind was called 'Hype' as i think that is a word which is known by my target audience as the young audience are the ones's which will use them sort of words, this is why when my programme is aired on TV they may want to see it as they think the name of the show appeals to them.

Content Ideas

My content idea is that i want to interview celebrities on the live segment as i believe by interviewing popular celebrities in the media industry like Skepta, as he has been known for his grime music by the young audience. Also i will have a time dedicated to the game element as will see the artist play the 'have you ever', this will keep the audience interacted as they will be asking questions beginning with have you ever. Also at the middle of the programme we will have pre-recorded footage, the pre recorded will be footage of the artist normal day, this is where we see the presenter stay with the artist for the day. At the end of the programme we will be ending with the artist singing their latest song which the concert element at the end of the show, i think by doing this they can advertise the song, also there may be more audience as they know they know a specific artist is going to be there singing their latest song which has not been released yet, this gives us exclusivity.

Running order

Intro for the show will last at least 30 seconds, the intro of the show will be the presenters at home sleeping then remembering about the show then they go pick up a artist and comeback to the show, this will be pre-recorded, however to make a bit realistic we can have them walk in from the back and then have the camera follow. they will be speaking to the audience roughly 1.45sec as they will be telling the audience what they'll see and as it is the first time their seeing the show, also they'll be the voice over as they will be snippets of the features of the show.

Studio design

The below image is of the studio which i have sketch out, as i mentioned in my content ideas i said i will have a concert element, for concert element i choose to have another stage where we see the artist performing live and the would be another camera there and also the would be

Sketch of background

The below image is a image is of my background which i have sketch out, i have decided to have images of famous music artist which appeal to my target audience as they have been known for the albums which they have created for example Rihanna created a song called 'work' which is very popular across the world. Also i have added a music note as my show does revolve around music. I have added the logo of my show in the middle as it i thought it makes look a lot better

Visual style

The camera shots i want to use for my show is mid shot, long shot and close up as i believe that them shots have a lot of meaning, this is very important as with a mid shot your are able to see the body movements and any hand gestures. A close up is going to be used a lot in the interview session as the presenter and artist will be talking a lot and by using a close up, i'll be able to show the characters facial expressions, a long shot is so that the audience can see what is happening in the studio this is very important as it keeps the audience interested all the time, it also makes the programme more enjoyable i believe.

Presentation style

The presentation style will be casual smart by this i mean they may wear causal clothes but i will try make them look smart as well by making them wear casual shirts because it appeals to my target audience who are 14-16 year olds they like to dress casually this is why i am aiming at casual clothing for my presenters. Also i would want the presenters to be speaking formal and informal as by speaking informal they appeal to the target audience which is very important for me as by speaking formal they may not understand but by being informal and speaking in slang it shows that the programme has been created for them.
